Donate to the Eckstein Annual Campaign!
The Eckstein Annual Campaign is the primary school-wide fundraiser and is devoted to enhancing academics for all students, with a focus on curriculum and building needs. Every student at Eckstein benefits from the Annual Campaign.
As you probably found at your child’s elementary school, critical school needs just aren’t covered by school district funds. At Eckstein, the largest middle school in the district (and the state), the needs are multiplied by more than 1,200 students! Fortunately, that’s where you and the Annual Campaign come in.
Virtually every department and every student benefit form your donation! Your contribution to the Annual Campaign helps pay for library, office and technology staffing; library books; science equipment; language arts and math support; world language textbooks; art supplies; musical instruments; technology supplies; and, emergency preparedness and general classroom supplies, in addition to many other items. These needs are identified by teachers, administrative staff and the principal each year.

The Annual Campaign Goal for This Year
Last year, contributions ranged from $10 to $2,000, with an average donation of $225. Out of approximately 1,200 students and over 1,100 families, 264 families contributed to the Annual Campaign last year, raising a total of $70,000. This year, our goal is to have at least 500 Eckstein families contribute to the Annual Campaign. Our baseline goal is $75,000, with a stretch goal of $110,000 from donations and grants, which will allow us to contribute $35,000 towards the Science Technology Initiative.
How Are We Doing?
As of December 15th, we’ve have received donations of $46,000 from 184 families. We’re at 61% of our baseline goal and 42% of our stretch goal to support the Science Initiative. Approximately 17% of Eckstein families have contributed so far. We’re hoping to get financial participation from over 50% of our families this year with a contribution level that fits each family. Any contribution level is welcome.

Two Easy Ways to Donate
Donate Online Now — Donate online through the secure Alliance for Education website (https://www314.safesecureweb.com/alliance4ed/) using your Visa or Mastercard. Please indicate that your donation is for the Eckstein Annual Campaign in the An Individual School text box so that your donation will be properly credited to this fundraiser.
If your company contributes matching funds to your gift, please complete the Matching Gift section on the Alliance for Eduction page. If you would like to make a recurring donation or pledge, please put your special instructions in the Comments section at the bottom of the Alliance page. Simply indicate in the Comments box the total amount you would like to donate and the monthly amount to be charged to your credit card each month.
If you are an employee of the University of Washington or another Washington State agency, you may contribute to the Eckstein Annual Campaign through the Combined Fund Drive – simply identify the Alliance for Education as the charity (code 0315592), and in the donor section, specify that your contributions should be directed to the Eckstein Annual Campaign.
