In order to best prepare ourselves for this event we are going to explore or personal reactions to controversial content as well as work toward understanding the reactions of others.

At Eckstein Middle School we teach our students about choice. We recognize that some of our books may include subject matter that would not be a good fit for all students and their families. For this reason, we celebrate and encourage our students’ right to choose a just right book – a book that is a good fit for them, and their families.

“At a time when book banning is back in vogue, libraries remind us that truth isn’t about who yells the loudest, but who has the right information.”
