THE GAMEROOM IS A UNIQUE PLACE

The Eckstein GAMEROOM is a program sponsored by the Eckstein Counseling Department.  It is unique in the district (and perhaps anywhere) and is a model for alternative lunchtime activites.  The GAMEROOM exists to support students who prefer a smaller lunchroom option and enjoy the many activities that can be found only there.

When a student chooses the GAMEROOM, they get an abundance of fun, supervised activities.  It is the only place other than the lunchoom where a student may eat their lunch and is located in portable #10.  The GAMEROOM has a variety of activities for the student to choose.  It is well stocked with every sort of card, board and table game imaginable and also offers Foosball, ping pong, air-hockey, and pool every day. 

In addtion, the GAMEROOM host a weekly schedule of SPECIAL EVENTS that include group games such as TEAM PICTIONARY and BINGO, at which students can win prizes, as wel as video games including DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION  and a wide assortment of games for the WII.  The Gameroom is made possible almost entirely by private funding and now in its SEVENTH YEAR serving the students of Eckstein.
